Blog 5: 17/7 – Day 6 - Lime washing

Hi!
Today we started lime washing the roundhouse. From the stories Mike told us, we (or I) were/was actually quite scared cause he said the substance was kind of corrosive. So, all of us put on white throwaway overalls and blue caps, I’m sure you can imagine what we looked like: some kind of FBI/forensic squat. Mike and Steve told us that we looked ridiculous (thank you) but it did help with not getting dirty. To make the lime more fluid, we mixed it with water. We did this by stirring it around with a long mixer attached to a drill. I think this was my time of fun during the day as I found the lime washing quite boring. Today we finished the panels and tomorrow we’ll continue with the walls. We had dinner and fell asleep.
