Blog 1: 12-13/7 - Day 1&2 - Travelling

Hi!
Yesterday we began travelling (Elise, Marjolein, Amber and me). We got on the boat in Ijmuiden around 16:30 and arrived in Newcastle the next day (today) around 9. We took the train from Newcastle to Dumfries, and all went prosperous.
The boat was quite wobbly, the sea had some strong waves. We arrived at our cabin, which was just amazing; two beds, and above that to beds that you could take out of the wall and something that surprised us: a shower! Nobody dared to use it though, as I mentioned before that the boat was not very steady. We enjoyed the waves and the vast emptiness of the ocean. Also, the boat was bigger than we expected and got lost on it, at least thrice.
The next day, we all woke up and took the train, which all went smoothly. Because we are such amazing travelers, we arrived on the time we had also agreed on with our contact person (Pam Hazlehurst). She's lovely and took us shopping for groceries.
We learned about the organization and checked some of their facilities. Mike showed us the property, and we met Steve; the handyman.
